Hiking / Trekking
Our Happy House can be reached by car but the beautiful Kaski hills overlooking the Himalayas on one side and the Phewa Lake and Pokhara city on the other side, also make a great surrounding for hiking to and from our HomeStay.
For many years now we have been organising daytrips, hikes and multiple days trekkings with our Happy Village Trekking & Expeditions pvt. Ltd, or simply known as Happy Treks Nepal. We have been TripAdvisor nr. 1 for several years now and are more than happy to organise everything for your stay in Nepal.
The location of our Happy House Home Stay offers several options for hiking. From fairly easy short hikes to a more strenuous climb up from Pokhara. A guide can accompany you and we can customize the route according to your wishes.
It is also a perfect place for acclimatising while doing some shorter hikes to and from the home-stay before starting your longer trekking.
Just to give an idea what a 2 Days / 1 night Hiking & Home-stay could be:
You will be hiking to the Happy House in about 3 hours while enjoying stunning views over the snowy high tops of the Annapurna Range. Spending the afternoon at the Happy House and wandering around the gardens and fields to a local viewpoint overlooking Phewa Lake and Pokhara.
Evening sunset over the surrounding mountains and hills while enjoying a home made dinner with mostly everything coming from our own gardens.
Early rise the next day enjoying sunrise over the surrounding hills, warming in the kitchen near the fire sipping organic coffee or tea while home made bread is freshly baked by mama.
After enjoying breakfast and a relaxed checkout when ready, hiking in about 3-4 hours back to the shores of the Phewa Lake close to Pokhara, while enjoying stunning views of the lake, Pokhara and surroundings. Last part taxi drive back or walk all the way along the lake back to the city if you prefer.
